You are simply wrong about the way the 9902b Halabi data that Dr. Gold mentioned on the BofA webcast is produced. The Halabi algorithm is run by DNDN—not by the DSMB as you asserted. It is based on the enrollment characteristics of individual patients and is “blinded” only inasmuch as DNDN does not know which trial arm a given patient belongs to.

It would be a simple matter for DNDN to exclude certain patients and thereby realize a higher projected median survival under the Halabi algorithm for 9902b than for the patient pool in 9901. Whether DNDN in fact did this is a separate issue—the point here is that they had the means to do so.
