Well, we know what the public's reaction to Airbus's design flaw was... nothing. Do you really think there would have been an equally non-existent reaction to terrorists? I can't see it.
really? would you have also predicted what you see as public nonchalance to the airbus flaws? this was 2 months to the day after 9/11. its hard to see how public sentiment towards airlines and vacationing etc could sink any further at that point.
So what you're saying is, the Market just went on doing what it was going to do anyway. I think that makes my point.
yup. i won't argue with that; short term movement in the markets in reaction to news is often just noise. or opportunity. take your pick.
It it were, then there has been a coverup of a scale that is unlikely to have been successful.
perhaps. nevertheless, one would think that its at least a bit difficult to distinguish sabotage from accident. yet:
5:04 PM - White House: No indication of terrorism in crash 3:51 PM - Crash Airbus had good safety record 3:45 PM - FBI: No evidence of terrorism 3:20 PM - Fighter jets patrol crash site 3:04 PM - New York on high alert 3:01 PM - FAA: No evidence of terrorist attack 2:58 PM - Shares slump following crash 2:36 PM - Boeing 767 crashes near JFK airport
25 mins for the faa to conclude that it was not related to terrorism, and a little longer from others.
sorry, i hope i don't come off as a 'conspiracy nut' here, but just a skeptic. if there was going to be a rush-to-judgement in this case, clearly everyone was on board to get the message out that there was no terrorism. has the official report been issued yet?
