It will be interesting to see how these iPod lites turn out. Some are insisting 2- to 4-Gb capacity hard drive based units, while others are saying that they will be flash-based models targeted at the low end. At $100, the latter seems more likely to be true, which fills a hole in Apple's product line, but doesn't pose much of a threat to other HD players.
I wonder if its a flash-based unit where they expect the owner to bring their own flash card? They could sell a base unit cheap ($100) and still advertise it as having potential for 1, 2Gb (or whatever the latest megasize flash cards have reached).
