Mysef - Do you view selling puts bullish or bearish?

Wouldn't that depend upon the timing of the market? For example, wouldn't selling puts at a peak before a market correction be a sound idea? You could still believe that the overall trend is up (bullish, shall we say), but this strategy would allow you to pocket some cash if you called it right.

On a more practical note, those who are bearish overall on AMD may feel that when Intel finally launches their 90nm parts (Prescott/Dothan), AMD stock could be in for a significant retrenchment. This retrenchment would reverse when AMD completes their 90nm conversion later in 2004. This pattern of product/process transitions have been going on and on for many years now. Some believe things are different now with AMD, and some see the pattern continuing.
