Lol, sounds like me haha. We've been putting $ into the account every 2 weeks, and buying stocks. I started with the Motley Fool, and bought a couple of their recs last August. I sold 100 shares of Volcom (VLCM) in January and made 52%, and I have one other that's up (Exelixis EXEL), but the rest have got me down 20%. I have UWNK, DJRT, DKAM, DPDW, ADDL, and then 2 or 3 dogs lol. I need to find another broker. TD Waterhouse charges $29 a trade unless you trade lots (I don't), but I do like the fact that I can click my mouse and fund my account in seconds if I need to. Sucks to be Canadian when you're trading stocks!!
We don't have much for a pension (own a business) and if we want to retire in 10 or so yrs, we need to be putting a ton of money away starting 15 yrs ago lol. Better late than never!! Good luck to you today Sure is fun, isn't it. Could be addicting lol.
