I suppose one advantage to that (coupled with the $300K) would be that a stock that had a ton of trading dollars in 3-4 days out of the 3 months (which allowed it to make the $300K rule) would still not qualify unless it traded a minimum number of days.

I'm not sure what that minimum should be, but definitely higher than 62% - probably around 80%.
