EC100,

The most impressive thing was the Sun representative stepping up (he was not on the agenda) and saying the Sun alliance was strong and the technology worked.

The next most impressive thing was Mark Hatfield of NDFC. He is the (de facto) CEO of ECNC. It looks to me like he's going to be running everything. And, thank goodness!

I was also impressed that the cashpads were there and worked to accept transactions.

I spoke personally with Tom Hughes (for about 30 seconds). He is not at all what I expected. I expected a used car salesman-type. What I saw was (IMO) a cross in appearance between a nutty professor and an orthodox Jew. He introduced himself to me while we were both getting a cup of coffee during a break. I told him I'd flown in from Chicago and that, while I didn't own many shares, I'd paid a lot for them and that I was a critic of his on the message boards. He then reassured me that the price would go up. I won't mention the number he reassured me it would be by the next annual meeting because I'll believe it when my statement says it, but he did take the time to reassure me and he didn't seem afraid to answer any question put to him at the meeting.

What didn't I like:

I'm not sure Tom's reach doesn't exceed his grasp.

Tom appears to tell people what they want to hear (while still seeming to believe it himself).

Tom did not give me full answers about Powerclick when I asked him (we own 80%). I had to press him to get a statement that typosquatting is a thing of the past. We shall see about that!

I'm not a Manny fan (but he's now like **** on a bull). I don't know what he brings to the table now that NDFC and iMethods have arrived to help run the company.

Artaste is, again IMO, doomed. I think it's Tom's bone to Diane Hewitt to keep her occupied with "cultural things." But, as Tom said several times, the money's in the transactions.

Much else went on but it was neutral. I wasn't impressed or unimpressed. For example, the DR operation is at a break even point re: gambling and will start processing transactions (all types) already or in a few days. Much more was pure hope on Tom's behalf.

No cash pad for me in the drawing!

In short, there is a product that works. The partnerships with NDFC, Sun and iMethods are strong. And, experienced management is in place with the arrival of NDFC and iMethods. ... eom
