I'd take another look at AMD's mobile plans for 2004. Already AMD sells the best solution for desktop replacements (A64). There is a 130nm mobile Athlon64 coming in H1, and some 90nm mobiles coming in second half. Dothan will be swamped in a sea of higher performing low power competition well before this time next year.
More like desktop stove replacement. Perhaps you should look at AMD's own datasheet.
A so-called mobile A64 1.8 GHz has a 81.5W TDP. Using that crazy positioning logic Intel should target Deerfield at the thin and light market with its paltry 55 W TDP.
