I thought that the correlation he was making was not a back pat for being a doctor, but rather, due to the responsibilities that a doctor takes on they tend to be very thorough and decisive. Traits that usually follows one through life...maybe I am seeing it wrong though.
"Sort of" is such a harmless thing to say. "Sort of". It's just a filler. "Sort of" - It doesn't really mean anything. But after certain things, "sort of" means everything. Like after "I love you" or "You're going to live" or "It's a boy".
