I sat down behind the computer with this Russian businesswoman. We looked up Kartix, in Russian and we got 100’s of results. And good results, not ‘loan money cheap’, ‘get cheap credit cards’, ‘car leasing’, ‘housing financing’ etc. no, things like ‘Kartix admitted to St. Petersburg stock market’, ‘Kartix admitted to investment consortium’, ‘Kartix investment this, Kartix investment that’. IT IS A LEGIT BIG INVESTMENT BANK!!

Then she called them, first the operator, put trough to an employee, she asked about more information about the takeover of Aurus corporation, a little talking and this employee said that this was a management issue and she couldn’t say anything about it, she put the Russian woman through to somebody close to management, she asked him about the takeover of Aurus and he answered ‘I CANNOT COMMENT ABOUT THIS, IT IS CONFIDENTIAL, IF YOU WANT I CAN SEND YOU A FORM AND IF YOU RETURN IT YOU CAN BE INFORMED IN THE FUTURE’. Is this breaking news or is this breaking news????????!!!!

I didn’t care to ask for the form, it’s all going to be in the price how this will play out. My conclusion, the chances are 99% this is legit after all. I have been to Russia, Moscow and St. Petersburg are very modern, if somebody fakes an offer from a big bank like this one this person/ company has a very big problem, it’s all law suits there also, just like with us. On the other hand, the rest of the country, so in fact almost all of it, is not so modern still. So that Aurus Corporation makes a bit of a naïve impression, yes, that’s the Russian way.
