Actually, Lee, I believe the Brits have been allowed to own gold for some time, perhaps even longer than the Americans. <g>

But you are right, this is the first time they have been allowed to own a gold ETF, so I'm sure the pros will find some way to fleece the public. Certainly they could say they have the gold when, in fact, they have nothing.
