So...I decided to give Whitmore a call this morning to see what the status was. I spoke with the person in charge of their railroad lubricants. I learned the following:
The Railmaster PRO product is targeted at one particular railroad company, BNSF. Testing will be done in the next 2 months and they believe the testing is basically a formality. Without any prompting they said that the product was less expensive and performed better than the product BN currently uses that contains more moly. They believe that once BN starts using it, then other railroads would be more apt to follow suit.
Another railroad has successfully tested the Railmaster PRO product but this company is more price sensitive and uses one of Whitmore's less expensive products.
So, it appears that this would be the reason why there was no revenue from this product in Q4 2006 (Whitmore announcement was in Nov 2006). Based on what Whitmore said, it sounds to me like it will be Q2 or Q3 of 2007 before revenue is generated (post BN testing).
