nspolar was maybe the first to bring up the Chinese corruption possibility(s) on this thread, some time ago.

nspolar's has a fuzzy logic theory, and it says that most closed society's do not perform well under the capitalistic model. The reason is that these society's do not have enough internal freedoms to allow for cleansing. The cleansing comes along in time, but only after too much damage has been done, and then at great cost.

There are not that many open socities in the whole world, imo. We have one of the few. Europe is getting better. Asian socities are not open. Japan may be the worst, but the rest not far behind.

Vietnam is a an interesting nation under development, my opinion. They have had a lot of outside influence over the last several decades. Costly in many ways, but positive in others. (They have some beautiful women there as well, imo, but I am getting too old for that.)
