i thought that, but the real cost of the debt is exactly the same for the govt as for you:

you just dont care if you borrow 300 million or 10 dollars, if you pay 1 dollar a month. If I buy a million dollar home, and my monthly goes to 27 dollars a month because of low interest, or I buy a new lexus with 5 years same as cash no interest, I just dont care what my apparent debt is.

I think the us govt is like a K mart shopper: I need a low payment, dont care about anything else
