Yes, TXN is considered smart money, but, it was also prudent for them to provide investors with a good reason for selling. They may have other reasons to raise cash. Who knows for sure right now?
TXN selling MU shares was likely known, and, IMO, may have been seen as at least somewhat responsible for MU's appx 25% decline from its $16.70 high. I wonder where they sold most of their shares. With the 25% decline, the selling pressure being removed by TXN, and plenty of bullish news coming out of the semi industry, I was expecting at least a slight 'relief' pop. I was wrong. At least for the very short term.
