n83, I used to engage DW a couple years ago, but I realized I was not going to change his mind. Furthermore, he seemed to enjoy the banter when you got to that point more than the actual exchange of information. In that mode he's kind of like a message board equivalent of Andy Kaufman. You know there's real smarts underneath there, but you don't always understand what's going on with him at that moment.

Anyway, I realized his attitude was permanently bullish and part of the on-line personality that he cultivated. However, I also found he traded the market both ways quite successfully.

Once I learned that, I began to appreciate his knowledge and insight. That's where I stand with him. He's experienced, wise, and technically adept. If you stay with that, you'll be surprised what you can learn. However, if you push him, he'll drop the gloves and the exchanges begin to be more personal and less about the market. That's when we all lose.

I have often times found the most intelligent people also have dynamic personalities. If we can stay with our purpose, beating the market instead of eachother, we all gain.

Anyway, enough of my soap-box crap for tonight.
