What's ironic is the technology to control unwanted outcrossing was vilified by environmental groups to the point it was withdrawn from the market. Monsanto's "Terminator" technology prevented outcrossing of the engineered traits. That environmental groups made it Job One to pressure Monsanto into withdrawing the technology is just one more indication much of the fight against "Frankenfoods" is made-for-fund-raising and has little connection with scientific reality.
