Why? It's a "sum total" matter. Which straw breaks the camels back?

It can't be stopped, perhaps mitigated, or managed to some degree. But no one is really going to try at any meaningful level.

You can sure bet there are those in the know who are precisely aware of the same root issues I am and who are doing everything in their power to save themselves at your expense. They know they can not save everyone and really why would they want to if they could let nature do the culling?

But you can be sure this is a "goin' for broke" scenario and people like you are the odd men out. That's why environmental issues hold no real sway for them.

I believe fate has a cruel joke in store for them, however.
