Someone posted about possible inflationary trends coming-- Take a look at latest Time mag. article about the costs of the "New" Medicare, which, btw was already calculated to run "dry" by 2017 (due to 77 million boomers joining the 40 million or so people already covered) even without the new costs; and now, the truth of the new costs are out--consensis is that it will run between 1.2 and 2 TRILLION buckers!
Oh, and did I mention, in their eagerness to get this passed, the AARP somehow forgot to think about the 15 million kids in America that have no coverage of any kind--but no matter says AARP, just let everyone go on eating like there is no tomorrow, we will just drug everybody up, and damn the children, who needs healthy kids?.
I have a funny feeling that supply side economics is not going to fix this disaster, nor our lack of ability or desire to take care of the youth of the Country
Unless and until we re-engineer critical sectors of U.S. society, many millions of children will suffer needlessly--from my general and political commentary blog: www.thinkwecan.com
