I like Scultura,

It is as advertised "a volume" expander, which means its a soft tissue filler. They give you close to 9ccs which is light years more than any other product. It must be re constituted before use (a pain) and tends to get lumpy during injections. Of all the products I've used it seems to be the most long lasting (a year and a half).

Sculturia was developed for aids patients and I think the price reflects it was covered by insurance. It is too expensive. Typical sculptura injections 1800 to 24000$ Drug companies don't appreciate the formula in cosmetic surgery. Procedure cost = product cost + surgeons fee. When the product cost get too high it limits the market which is dependent on consumer spending limits. It should be remembered the cosmetic surgery market is mainly the middle to lower middle class. The rise of micro injection fat transplants will probably limit sculptura's use to thin patients who are not good canidates for fat technique.

Just finished my first Artecol injections. Had the rude shock of finding out there were not 2-4cc syringes and 3- .8cc syringes. There apparently was some communication error. There is 2-.8 cc syringes and 3-.4cc syinges. This is at a cost of 2400$. When I learnd this I insisted the detail guy take the stuff back. Eventually he agreed to let me inject the patient free of charge as a trial, but I'm leary at this point and don't see myself using it again.
