Good attitude. So it only prevent a FEW murders, and solves a FEW crimes, so why bother, eh?
Let me reiterate.
1. The number of murders and crimes it prevents may be far outweighed by the number of murders and crimes it causes. More regulations discourage more and more law-abiding citizens from purchasing weapons for self-defense and preventing crimes from happening.
2. Lets assume for the sake of this argument that it does prevent some crime. For the significant cost of registration, is this the most cost-effective way to prevent crime? This money could be spent hiring more police men, researching new ways to solve crimes, etc.
We have been pointing out that, other than paranoia, there is no reason NOT to, so what's the problem.
The fact that every previous attempt at registration has led to confiscation. I guess that is just irrelevent paranoia.
PLUS, if you had read earlier posts concerning the recent study, would see that your point is not valid.
Which point would that be?
