AMD has already "warned" that earnings are going to come in below expectations. They never said by how much. I have expected for a long time that the analysts aren't revising down enough. Either AMD will "warn" again in the 11th hour, which they seem to like doing repeatedly, or they will simply let their previous warning go as is. My expectation is that there will be some "surprise" at some point due to the larger than expected loss posted by AMD this quarter. And the resulting rosy financials from Intel will start to turn even the staunchest INTC bears into a forgiving mood.
