Monday April 2, 6:00 AM EDT

INDIANAPOLIS, April 2, 2007 /PRNewswire via COMTEX/ -- Integral Technologies, Inc. today announced the formation of a strategic partnership with American Power Conversion (APC-MGE). This relationship strengthens Integral's position as an IT-centric organization that delivers technology best practices integrated with advanced security solutions. This news closely follows Schneider Electric's February announcement of the acquisition of APC- MGE. Schneider, a worldwide power and control specialist, is Integral's parent company.

Integral's relationship with APC-MGE creates synergies and deeper value for both companies' dealers and end-users. Collectively, the companies will deliver a more comprehensive and integrated set of technology-based security solutions to the market place. While Integral is well known in the security industry for its scalable video monitoring and access control systems that span the technology spectrum from analog to IP-based networks, APC-MGE is a global industry leader in information technology infrastructure.

"The combination of Integral and APC-MGE is powerful," commented Matt Kushner, president and chief executive officer of Integral Technologies, Inc. "This alliance reflects the security industry's demand for a new standard in system uptime. While the norm in the information technology sector has long been 99.999 percent uptime (also known as 'five nines'), the security community reluctantly has had to accept lower reliability levels -- until now. Our relationship with APC-MGE is an indicator that the security industry can, and should, raise its expectations for system uptime, equipment protection and fail-over options."

Together, APC-MGE and Integral will offer the market security solutions that improve equipment reliability, increase system uptime, offer proactive and preventative system maintenance and lower total cost of equipment ownership. Dangers to security or IT system performance that result in vulnerability or downtime often are caused by human error, intrusion, tampering or theft. Also, environmental threats may include dirty or erratic power, high humidity or temperature fluctuations.

"A partnership like APC-MGE and Integral is a great example of the 'new math' where two companies plus two sets of technologies equal infinite possibilities for the market place," commented Jamey Johnson, general manager, security & environmental division APC-MGE. "APC-MGE will bring the best practices to the security sector that we have pioneered in the IT physical infrastructure industry. Through our alliance with Integral in our Technology Partners Program, we will apply the same preventative measures we developed to safeguard data centers and associated hardware to building facilities and the security equipment and systems that protect them."

The first phase of Integral and APC-MGE's partnership will focus on the integration of APC's NetBotz solutions for data center physical threat protection with Integral's DigitalSENTRY video monitoring and Intelli-M access control systems. As the relationship matures, the companies plan to align the rest of their product offerings as well as jointly introduce innovative new solutions.
