Proving the short is one thing, forcing the cover quite another.

Traders can try to trip a margin call through buying MOMO and we should see a pop in share price from people jumping in. Also, companies have tried different methods to force a squeeze, with dividends being the most popular IMO (HVLN tried a cert recall and it was a disaster).

If there were a magic bullet, we'd see more short squeezes.
