CTEP-inhibition dead
NEJM just released the results of the torcetrapib IVUS study. It didn't reduce atheroma volume and barely slowed it despite huge increases in HDL. This confirms our theory that CETP-inhibition was merely creating large garbage bags of HDL and not HDL that was useful for retrieving fats from blood vessel walls.
The drug is a zero regardless of the blood pressure situation. Same goes for the class.
