2X4's are a non issue. Too heavy. Wall stud's commercial are made of galvanized steel. Not to argue, but steel stud's are experiencing a shortage of and the pricing of steel doubled last year. As steel has already gone up in price this year. I know China has steel stud's, but are they made for high-rise specification? The lumber yard claims they have access to steel building stud's. What brand or specifications they carry are unknown to me at least. There again, who knows any thing about the construction material requirmeents over sea's.
