Dew, in your opinion, what does this Cimzia delay do to both
UCB and peripherally Xoma who was due and obviously counting on the royalty stream from Cimzia?
That late 2008 trial will really push off any launch of this
drug into 2009-2010 depending on the size, duration and findings of the trial. I know that this drug for Crohns was very important to UCB and even to a lesser extent to Xoma.
I have divested from Xoma at between $3.10~3.30 in the last months and redeployed those assets into other biotech companies. Having owned Xoma since 1990(Shoot me please), and having endured every possible rollercoaster ride and trial mishap and failure with "X", except for bankruptcy, I have let go of this an an investment for now but still follow closely the events with company. I was finally "smart" with X, and loaded up a lot under $1 so, I recouped a large portion of the "dead" money that X had created.
Thanx for posting that article this am, and interesting to see how the market will treat UCB and X today.
