Phase II monthly vs.weekly treatment schedule
***At the recent Rodman & Renchaw webcast, Dr. Levitt signaled that the company is planning a phase-2 trial to test a monthly retreatment schedule, but I think this plan is malleable and it could be overruled by GENR’s partner.****
If memory serves, the study in Mexico that was reported had a weekly treatment schedule. If Genaera is not ready to sign on the dotted line with a partner, it seems that gaining more info on the treatment schedule is time well-spent. Eventually, having patients receive a monthly treatment that involves an IV is far better than a weekly IV treatment. If Genaera can limit the scope of the Phase III study, the price of partnership simply goes up.
