10b5-1's are a scam - One need look no further than PARS before the Dexanabinol(sp?) to see exactly this effect. They took a detailed look at the blended data about 13 months before the unblinding and released the positive news, then set up 10b5-1's that unloaded a huge percentage of their stock before unblinding. I no longer remember the details, but that in itself was enough to provide instruction that 10b5-1's do not do what they are 'supposed to do'.
