OT - I went to a speech last year given by the parapsychologists from the Institute that was once associated with Duke University. They asserted that "ESP" had been replicated in so many scientific studies that they no longer bothered defending its existence. As an undergrad at Duke, I remember them performing experiments quantifying the mind's influence on random-number generators - I guess it worked. :) Anyway, today it is no longer a question of "if," but "how" and "how much."

Also, I've read that patients who did not know they were being prayed for did, indeed, have statistically significant improvements vs a control group. This was some time ago, but I'm sure anyone could dig it up.
