The day I arrived in Italy/Sicily (2003), the entire country's power grid collapsed. Another year I went to Paris, and a week later the entire country erupted in riots. Then last year I decided on London, just in time for the terrorist plot to blow up airliners with liquid explosives.

So what exactly does gfp stand for: glutton for punishment?
