I guess that depends on the day of the week (or is it some other factor). WBMW seems to oscillate through a range of attitudes that vary from reasonable,logical, neutrality to snippy,pithy,terse,bias. I don't really know what the source of the bias is and I guess it really doesn't matter because it seems that he has moved away from that end of the spectrum lately.
I think the biggest problem is he doesn't make sense if you are looking for continuity. If you know what he means instead of what he says, it makes more sense but taking his statements literally you get a self conflicting tree with a lot of branches undefined. If you try to pin him down on the continuity issues you'll trigger the snippy response. If you don't pin him down he tends to drift back to a reasonable tone eventually.
With that in mind if I had to make it a yes or no answer I'd say: NO, WBMW is not a basher.
Who knows, if I took a stance on every issue that comes across this thread I might not pass the continuity test myself. Maybe it's just the number of posts that make the issue noticable.
