I have to say, with all the comments about changing colors over the last week or so, I've never had a problem with the color changing, or the background changing, or anything visual at all. Is that because I use the default background? Here is a screen-capture of the color scheme that I always see, and always have. No problems on this end. Windows XP and Firefox:
