Question asked by a regular guy posting was as follows:
How many North/South Exploratory holes do you think have been drilled thus far ? the 100 delineation holes most likley have been done for weeks.
* I still think they come in +,- 3 from a grand total of 155 (55 being exploratory only)...my GUESS would be that 25 or so have been cored as of 3/12. if all 8 rigs are on it, we should be getting 8 holes every 5 days from here on out. (Figure 5 with travel time from site to site)
** I hope that the seismic testing pays off :)
The following answer was supplied by an engineer who set's up and takes down drilling riggs:

Hmmm.... 12 days times 8 rigs is 96 rig-days. 5 days per core would be 19.2 cores completed... but for them to have gotten 100 done by March 1st, they must have been doing better than that... figure about 3.8 days per core.... and that gets your total of exploratory holes up to about 25.
Funny how that worked out. (grin) Good Guess! (and hope for continued cold weather...)
Hope this gives you a better idea of what I was talking about. The more people we have posting the better chance we have of getting good answers.
