Try searching in different domains. LIke .info, .edu amongst other domains to search. goog makes it increasingly difficult to search other domains because they make all their money on the .com domain. The trick is to figure out how to get to the other domains on the browsers.

Goog also got rid of 'dork' searching for the most part, as well as put most dork use behind 'captcha' roadblocks which allowed people to bypass the .com ads and 15 sponsored paged you get first.
