Monday morning...another awesome day on planet earth...and as we continue to celebrate each and every day the fact that not only did Jesus step foot from the tomb alive and well. He is today sitting at the right hand of God the Father praying for us believers continuously...and...🎶 He walks with me and He talks with me and He tells me i am His own 🎶 ...how cool is that. Remember folks...It is through that act of resurrection that all of us can have the hope and blessed assurance of eternal life...in heaven...with Jesus...for Forever! And how fitting that the Easter celebration takes place at this time of year in the fact that we know scripture tells us and as believers we know and see God in and through His creation of this beautiful earth. Outside this morning having my coffee...looking at the earth continuing to come to life from its winter sleep. The green grass...the dogwoods and redbuds in full blossom and other trees budding and the leaves getting bigger by the day on others with so many shades or green...some flowers starting to poke thru the earth... and...to feel the coolness of night turn to the warmth of a new spring day as the sun faithfully rises above the horizon...and more importantly...the warmth of Jesus within me. And just like yesterday morning that i spoke of oh how loud the birds are singing their praises to God...however...a few seem to poke fun at me as i try to sing with them. And as i gazed upon all this...i started to think of my own earthly resurrection just thirty years ago. Beaten down after wollering in that deep dark miry clay as my mamaw Miss Polly use to say...and...all hope lost after twenty five years of self destruction with booze and drugs and all the insanity that goes with that lifestyle. And then...at the age of forty and through the simple act of belief and a heart felt prayer asking Jesus for help and forgiveness. Jesus reached down and lifted me up and not only did God forgive me for all those years of living for satan...He chose to forget all of it...wow...amazing grace! Yes...He washed me white as snow from the sin filled and wicked life i had allowed to consume me. But hey...all of us at whatever time in our life that have come to trust and follow Jesus...our day of salvation...we all at that time...just like Jesus from the tomb and the earth coming back to life from its winter sleep...we all had a resurrection from the old self to the new self...but as we know...even a better day is coming. If you are a born-again believer you know what im talking about. All thru the day here and there and everyday i feel the presense of Jesus...because...i am a child of God...Jesus is my friend my Lord and Savior...and the Holy Spirit dwells within me...so of course i feel His presense and i get that feeling often because i have been Rescued...Redeemed...Restored...i have been Born-Again! So i ask you this morning...have you been saved...born-again...do you have a relationship with Jesus...have you ask Jesus to forgive you of your sin filled life? If not you can not know what im speaking of...you are still trying to do life your way....on your own...and im here to tell you...even though you might think you are doing ok...let me turn you on to some good news. The very God that created you can change your life just as He changed my life and the difference in the old life and the new life is as far as the east is from the west. A bad day on planet earth walking with Jesus is so much totally better than a seemingly great day walking with satan. Say yes to Jesus...its the most important and best decision you will ever make....i promise!
