After I take a little time to think about what these people are asking for from their impact assessment, it seems to me that most of what they want for the local tribes as far as assistance, jobs from the mine, all the things that are PEOPLE related may not be so unreasonable.

IMO where they're over-stepping with what they want is mainly those things they want in the last part of the assessment. Several of the items they list are CO-APPROVAL related and IMO that could be a big problem IF or WHEN they start mine construction. The one requirement that really sticks out to me is the full time Nation environmental monitors, funded by FMG, WITH AUTHORITY TO STOP WORK DURING CONSTRUCTION AND OPERATIONS.

How could FMG ever agree to that requirement? That means if FN's has authority to halt building the mine, the mine may never get built. They would be in essence be holding a gun to FMG's head to extract further perks further down the road. Relocating the disposal facility may be a problem also, but might be workable.

I hope the Fed government will come into the picture to possibly mediate some of these what I see as unreasonable requirements. We'll see I guess.
