Please check the technical reports dating back to the late 1980 from Vista mining and other operators (I believe there are 7 total) The silver in the oxide portion of the deposit has very low cyanide solubility and is primarily jarosite. Typical recoveries for crushed rock were expected to be in the 40% and ROM to be much less 20-30%. Silver recoveries were so low during the Vista days that it was not reported. Heap leach silver recoveries for other operators were similar. Cyanide in a heap leach doesn't discriminate; you cannot tell it to just leach gold and not leach silver.

Both Allied Nevada and Hycroft placed millions of tons of transition and sulfide ore on the current site  heaps and they have now turned acidic. They cannot be turned back on.
Your post is nonsense. There are no tailings at Hycroft only spent heap piles
