You're right that the Iranian theocracy is a pox on the world, but your overly judgmental view of the Iranian people in your repeatedly saying "they can be bought and sold" is wrongheaded, and surely reveals what appears to be a deep-seated bigotry toward them, rooted in the fact the Shah was some friend of your family and the Iranian people got rid of him.
If you dismiss the brutality of the Shah's SAVAK as him 'flapping his wings too much', then you would also have to dismiss the present day brutality of the MOIS as just some Sheik's flapping their wings too much.
