Texas-based Fluor Corp. has opened an office in Bucharest, Romania, which the company says will serve as its regional hub as it delivers next-generation nuclear energy projects across Europe.

The March 12 announcement follows the company’s increased role in Romania’s nuclear energy development through an advanced small modular reactor (SMR) project in Doice?ti and the expansion of the country’s existing Cernavoda nuclear power plant.
