AMD unveils Ryzen AI 400 processors at MWC 2026, expanding push into AI-powered PCs

Advanced Micro Devices (NASDAQ:AMD) introduced its next generation of AI-enabled processors at Mobile World Congress 2026, launching the Ryzen AI 400 Series alongside the Ryzen AI PRO 400 Series desktop chips as the company deepens its push into on-device artificial intelligence computing.
The new lineup is designed to deliver enhanced local AI processing and next-generation performance, allowing users to run AI applications and large language models directly on their devices while supporting demanding workloads such as design, engineering and other compute-intensive tasks. AMD also announced an expansion of the Ryzen AI 400 mobile family to include workstation-class systems.
With the broader portfolio, AMD aims to enable original equipment manufacturers to roll out a new wave of AI-focused PCs spanning high-performance desktops, laptops and mobile workstations tailored for modern productivity and enterprise workloads.
The Ryzen AI 400 Series marks AMD’s first desktop processors built for next-generation AI PCs supporting Microsoft’s Copilot+ PC experiences. Equipped with a neural processing unit capable of delivering up to 50 TOPS of AI compute, the chips allow AI assistants and productivity tools to run locally, helping keep sensitive data on-device while improving performance, control and privacy.
