Once a person makes the conscience decision in their mind but more importantily in ones heart to surrender their life to Jesus. When we come to the reality that our way is Not the best way as we walk this earthly path filled with no hope or encouragement dealing with the problems and burdens that life throws at us. Until we finally respond to the calling of Jesus thru the Holy Spirit and we cry out to God for His forgiveness. When with a broken heart we truly repent of our wicked lifestyle up to that point in time. We become "born-again"...a new creation...out with the old and in with the new...and we receive the free gift of salvation by the grace of God and the shed blood of Jesus Christ. At that time we are filled with the Holy Spirit and we have a home in heaven. From that point on till the day this body of ours dies. No matter what we do we cannot make Jesus go away. We cannot do anything that will cause Jesus to abandon us. Even when we mess up and sin...and maybe even commit a terrible sin...He will never leave us...He will never forsake us. Yes...He has promised us that. You see folks...there is no sin so great that the blood of Jesus cant wash away...that God can not forgive. There is nothing that we can do to cause the Holy Spirit to just up and leave our body....that just aint going to happen. Now...that dont give us a license to sin...that dont give us permission to do things that we shouldnt...there is consequences for sin and God will send correction and discipline our way because of our sin. God loves us to much to allow us to stay where we are and His desire is to mold us more and more into the likeness of His Son Jesus each and every day as we walk this earthly path...and...that can be in ways that are not so desirable to get us back on that path when we wonder off into the weeds. There is no free ride...God deals with disobedience. Yes...the blood Jesus shed on the cross that day long ago covers all sins...past...present...future. Do you have the power of almighty God living in you today? Do you have the blessed assurance that you have a home in heaven when your body dies? Would you like to? All you need to do is cry out to God to save you to forgive you and mean it from your heart like nothing you have ever thought or said before and guess what. He will...Think about it!

Truly, truly, I say to you, whoever hears my word and believes him who sent me has eternal life. He does not come into judgment, but has passed from death to life.

Because, if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.
Romans 10:9
