The tensile strength of the fiber is 7,000 MPa (7 GPa).

Spider silk (specifically dragline silk from orb-weaving spiders like golden orb-weavers) typically has a tensile strength in the range of 1,000–1,650 MPa (1–1.65 GPa), with the highest reliable lab-measured values around 1,300–1,652 MPa for top-performing natural samples.

KBLB has reported that their flagship Dragon Silk (and related early recombinant lines like BAM-1) has been publicly associated with tensile strengths up to 1.79 GPa (1,790 MPa) in select samples.

That means that carbon fiber is almost 4x stronger than KBLB's spider silk.
