This doesn't relieve the fact that the original patent expired years ago and that any weak "improvements" will not stop someone from creating their own that is newer, different, and/or better.

And they already have.

RadioGel wasn't the first. And they certainly aren't the last.

Hydrogels come in many different flavors. And with many different additional "add-ons" to enhance and/or supplement the gel.

The problem with sol-gels and more specifically thermogels is they don't work accordingly. It's junk science. The FDA isn't going to approve a radioactive element into a human being with a device that is insufficient.

It's not a coincidence that Fisher did the New Zealand rabbit study in 2012 and only published the bare-bones research 9 years later to make RadioGel look believable. The same year Korenko began the IDE. It's also why the FDA made them do another New Zealand rabbit study in 2023 to which the second set of rabbits were never even done. And the first were sub-clinical doses.

Krimins doesn't even acknowledge it under her name on the JHU research output page.

You gotta' wonder why both of those situations happened.
