Tagging posts doesn't prevent silly name flinging.

No, it doesn't. But I'm sure you recall the TWO users who insisted that boards were worthless unless they could examine and discuss the "motives" of other posters. The discussion continued for months, generating dozens of mostly identical posts right here, daily.

How was that problem solved? Both users were banned from THIS board, and sent to the Middle School Playground. And that was an excellent solution. They can discuss their obsession there, without bothering the rest of us. Should the rest of us want to join the conversation, we need only go to that board.

But of course we don't.
