Nah. He's a opportunist from way back. Tawana Brawley was proven her story was false and had to pay back monies. Good ol rev al didn't pay back a thing.
Al did a lot of good things but also did quite a bit of over the top wrong things. Soon as an event picked up some notoriety, he was there.

I also think he's been ill.
