Hypothetically, even if he paid for his shares, the board has every right to cancel the contract because lying about your non existent harvard MBA, network, and money can call for rescission due to fraudulent inducement.
In corporate law, if you lie about "a material fact" such as your credentials and use that to convince deals and contracts to happen (which Costello did) that is rescindable in court.
Doesnt matter if he paid for his shares or not (which i doubt), the fact that he lied about his credentials leans into RNWF's favor.
I highly doubt he paid for those shares. I dont think RNWF is about to lie about that.
