I don’t disagree with it. Just because housing is on the agenda doesn’t mean much unless they can execute. 12 million homes being built over a decade doesn’t mean much for the short term. Inflationary policies are destroying the purchasing power of homes and while new supply over a decade will help lower prices for the long term there is still a substantial supply shortage right now. That coupled with low interest rates and longer term mortgages creates demand right now which increases prices in the short term, does not lower them. Also, not sure how any of this relates to the gse’s going public, that is a separate issue. As I said the clock is ticking before the mid-terms and the window is short, Right now trump has all the leverage but he is blowing it by not moving quickly. Also, if there is something positive in the short term for the gse’s, why is JPS only trading at 50 cents on the dollar? Tells me nothing is confirmed and dividends may not get turned on for a while if at all.
