Lots of people, mostly morons and maga's look at things thinking they're not going to be around when something happens so they're not worried about it and want everything they can steal now before they die. Same magat's think "I don't have kids, why am I paying taxes for public schools?".

Climate change is happening, but major issues that will become clearer in 10 or 20 years isn't their problem. "I'm going to be dead, so fuck them" thinking.
Climate cycles happen over thousands of years, we're changing that geological history.

Which is precisely how this whole regime thinks now. Get theirs while they can and it doesn't matter what happens down the road to other people or the earth.
