The issue with the verified profile wasn't that it contained the wrong SIC data all this time (which it did), it was the fact that a change was made to update the SIC data. It was the CHANGE that caused the verified profile to become unverified and thus dropped.

My guess is that whenever you change the data in the profile, it will always become unverified for a short time and the Company Verified Profile will vanish. When the new data is processed and verified by OTC Markets the Company Verified Profile will be restored.

Also keep in mind that when you lose the verified status, you lose the OTCID designation. When you regain the verified status, you regain the OTCID designation.
